Alternative Way to Recycle Wine Bottles

by Seedorama Staff on September 22, 2010

Over 1 billion wine bottles are used each year, meaning that 1 billion wine bottles need to find their home in the recycle bin. But unfortunately, that’s not the case. Recycling hasn’t always been the most convenient task, but being stewards of the environment is our responsibility.

But rather than put your wine bottles in the blue bin, why not use them for another hobby we enjoy here at Seedorama – gardening. Shawna, over at Gardening Nude, has a great alternative way to recycle wine bottles.

Steps:

1. Drink a bottle of wine with friends.
2. Dig a hole wide enough for the top of the empty bottle to go in head first.
3. Place wine bottle in ground, using soil and surrounding wine bottles to help it stand upright.
